Putting an ad schedule together for a client can be time consuming. And the more time you spend creating your schedule layout, the less time you spend in front of clients.
Scooter 3 is sales software that makes creating ad schedules faster and easier than ever. In a matter of five minutes or less, you can design the most complex schedules and print them (or email them) in a format that advertisers find easy to understand.
The original version of Scooter was developed at our stations several years ago to make life easier for our sales staff (and get our clients to buy more ads!). Since then, we've upgraded the program, adding a host of new features.
Have It Your Way
Some customers prefer standard dayparts, others like to narrow the air time of their ads. With Scooter 3, there's never a problem. You create the "standard" dayparts you want using the descriptions you like. Then, use the "standard" time blocks, or create custom ones with each schedule
Fill in the proposed schedule -- much like your station's traffic software -- supplying the number of ads and rates for each daypart. Scooter 3 immediately totals the schedule by line, by week, and by schedule duration, even showing your average unit rate.
With just a few mouse clicks, copy one week's schedule to selected other weeks. Edit each week individually as needed. "Flight" the weeks in the schedule as you desire -- with Scooter 3 YOU are in complete control.
Clone Schedules -- Even To Other Clients
Do you like to give advertisers a choice of campaigns? Create one schedule, then clone and modify it, and in moments you have two, three, however many schedule choices as you desire.
If you develop a schedule that's popular with one client, others may also find it attractive. With just a few mouse clicks you can clone the schedule for other clients, print it, and be out the door for another sale.
Print or Email Schedules, Your Choice
Scooter 3 prints your schedules in color (on color printers), but doesn't stop there. If you've included your client's email address, just click Scooter's EMail button and send the schedule as a PDF attachment...even if you don't have the PDF creation software on your computer! Scooter 3 creates the PDF, opens your email client, and attaches the schedule. All you have to add is your email text message to the client. (You can optionally view the schedule PDF before you click the email "Send" button.)

No Constraints
The first thing we enhanced was the number of dayparts you can create in a schedule. The basic version of Scooter is limited to 20 dayparts (which is enough for most situations). Scooter 3 Pro permits unlimited dayparts.
Giving a client an organized presentation only adds to the level of professionalism. Scooter 3 Pro lets you insert and delete dayparts anywhere in your schedule. Want to add a morning news sponsorship? Just select a line in the schedule and right-click to insert one or more new daypart rows right where you want them. This feature is not available in Scooter 3 basic.
Does Scooter 3 take up too much space on your desktop -- or not enough? With Scooter 3 Pro, change the main screen to whatever size you want. It will return to that size the next time you start the program.
Don't like the column arrangement on the main screen? Maybe you would like the quote date as the first column, or the schedule start date? With Scooter 3 Pro, just click on a column title and drag it to the position you desire. Scooter 3 Pro will remember your preferences from that point forward.
Built-In Backup Protection
A hard drive failure could result in the loss of all your schedule information...a potential catastrophe. Scooter 3 Pro includes industry-standard Zip file backup and restoration at the touch of a button. Back up your schedules to any drive, including a flash drive (which means you can easily port your schedules to another machine).
If you tend to forget to back up your work, Scooter 3 Pro can optionally remind you -- daily, weekly, or monthly.

To Get Scooter 3 Pro
Scooter 3's main screen displays all the schedules you have on file for easy selection. From this screen you can add new schedules, edit or copy existing schedules, and even print or email a schedule to a client.
Scooter 3 allows you to select one or multiple schedules for deletion, or purge outdated schedules in bulk based on the quote date or schedule end date.
Scooter 3 Pro adds extra features, including the ability to resize the screen, change the order of the columns, add disclaimer text to each schedule, and more!

The Options & Comments tab of the schedule information screen lets you select how each schedule will be printed, including the amount of detail, whether or not to add a customer signature block, station logos, rates, and more. You can also optionally include a comments section that will be printed at the end of the schedule.
Scooter 3's schedule detail screen is where each week of the schedule is edited. Dayparts can be added, edited, or deleted. The displayed week can be copied to other selected weeks of the schedule. Ads can be given a "class" designation to mark them by whatever class description you desire. All ad and price values are totaled by line, by week, and by complete schedule.
Scooter 3's schedule information screen includes the client's name and address, the schedule description, quote date, start date, stations, and number of weeks in the schedule. The Options & Comments tab allows choices in printing styles, end-of-schedule comments, and more.
Scooter 3's printed proposal is easily customized. You can include your station's logo, amount of detail to show, an optional signature line, and much more.
In the above example, we have "compressed" identical weeks of the schedule to save space. However, you can require Scooter 3 to print every week of the schedule to show all the detail, if you or the client desires.
