Networking

µSCOOTER Pro™ features the ability to network the application across multiple computers. This allows all schedules to be stored on a shared, central database. Each time a user creates a new schedule or modifies an existing one, the information is immediately available to all users on the network who have adequate permission.

SCOOTER Pro™ supports two types of network, the Local Area Network (LAN), and the Wide Area Network (WAN). To keep things simple, a LAN consists of computers in your office that are connected together in one of two ways: via a router or on what is known as a peer-to-peer network. The WAN is the internet. The advantage of the WAN is it allows a sales representative with his laptop in the field to communicate with the database at the station via a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection.

Please read this ENTIRE section on networking BEFORE attempting any of the procedures described.
