Problems with Adobe Acrobat®

Recent versions of the Adobe Acrobat Reader have sometimes resulted in problems generating and printing multiple documents. This condition is not limited to SCOOTER, as other programs have also encountered this issue. The problem is related to a recent "security feature" added by Adobe.

Typically, this issue occurs after a PDF is generated. Attempting to generate a subsequent PDF from within SCOOTER produces no error message, but the PDF does not appear. Resolving this problem then requires a reboot of the computer.

This issue can be solved by following these steps:

1.Open Adobe Acrobat Reader.

2.From the main Acrobat menu, select Edit > Preferences...

3.On the left side of the Preferences window, select Security (Enhanced).

4.Remove the check from the box marked Enable Protected Mode at startup.

5.Click OK to save your changes.

6.Close Acrobat Reader.

7.Reboot your PC.

PDF files should now open normally in Acrobat Reader.
